Laughter heals.

I recall attending an elegant soiree at a country home. There were beautiful, soulful people there. There were musicians playing instruments. There was singing and dancing and conversation among literary minds and artists. I knew I had arrived among my people. Then an elegant man approached me, and we came to know a few general things about each other. It took all of ten minutes to realize that I was utterly bored. You see, he had absolutely no sense of humor, at a party, with a stranger. He was simply too serious.

Inspired Action

Take some time today to engage with humor. Think about the conversations that left you unable to stop laughing. Send a witty message to someone who really gets you. If you struggle to find things funny, if life feels heavy or intense today, choose people, books, and media that will elicit laughter. Don’t take it all too seriously.
